Maria Menounos
Maria was helping her mother who had stages four of brain cancer. The doctor told her that she was suffering from the middle of a health crisis. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. "I'd been getting lightheaded during filming and suffering migraines" Menounos tells PEOPLE in the magazine's exclusive new issue. "My speech became blurred, and I was having trouble using the Teleprompter". A MRI found that Menounos suffered from a large golf ball-sized meningioma brain tumor, which was pressing into her facial nerves. Menounos made an arrangement with Dr. Keith L. Black the neurosurgeon of her mother and set surgery for June 8. Menounos is now 39 years old. The doctor told her that, "I am 98 percent positive that the tumor is not malignant, but we'll never know until we go into the," The complex procedure, lasting about 7 hours the doctor. Black was able to eliminate 99.9 percent of the tumour. This was considered to be benign. According to Dr. Black, there's 7 percent likelihood that it will return. However, I'll be willing to take this chance any time. Menounos is admitted to the hospital for six days, is currently at home and spending recuperating.
